Innovative caBIG® Support Services
Our support services enrich the caBIG® software tools and procedures

of caBIG® compatible applications. semDS contains a set of tools that
leverage Semantic Web standards to create domain information models, Resource Description
Framework (RDF) data stores, and Web Ontology Language (OWL) knowledge models, and
to enable semantic querying by converting expressions in the SPARQL Query Language
for RDF into CQL, the caBIG® Common Query Language. Our semDS tools streamline
the process of creation of caBIG applications and provide unparalleled flexibility
to manage their evolution and growth.

Success Story: The CViT DMR
INFOTECH Soft has worked with the Center for the Development of a Virtual Tumor
(CViT, www.cvit.org) at Massachusetts General
Hospital in order to implement a caBIG® silver-level compliant version
of the CViT Digital Model Repository (DMR). CViT is a world-wide, multi-institutional,
interdisciplinary group of investigators with interest in the biomedical, computational,
and mathematical aspects of cancer research. As one of its major aims, it has created
the DMR, a semantically-enabled Web-based data store for cancer systems biology
data from computational and experimental sources designed to forster the collection
and sharing of in silico cancer models and simulation-related workflows.
INFOTECH Soft employed its semDS Toolkit and its iterative software development
process to rapidly and efficiently analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy the
caBIG®-compatible CViT DMR. The project page for the DMR can be found
